POSITION PROFILE Currently we are seeking a Growth and Preaching Minister that will transition into our Senior Minister. We expect a transition period, allowing our new minister to acclimate. Full-time Staff Position: Growth and Preaching Minister. Flexible (FT) 5 days per week with two days off, 40+ hours/week. Purpose of Position: He will work closely with the elders and ministry team to achieve our desired goals of growing NC3 forward. To coordinate, collaborate, and work with all “paid ministerial staff”. Qualifications: •Called of God and set apart to the ministry of the Gospel and service to NC3. •A mature Christian man with a strong family relationship. •Affirms and embraces the core beliefs, doctrines, and theology of the Bible. •Believes and practices the power of prayer and is passionate about creating a congregational culture of prayer. •Full agreement with NC3’s Vision and Mission. •At least 5 years of ministerial experience preferably in a senior or executive decision making staff role, with oversight of teams and credible leadership skills. •Sharing freely with others God’s Will “that all should come to a knowledge of Him.” •A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree preferably from an accredited Christian University; and or grad level courses from a Theological Seminary. •The ability to motivate and inspire others to follow Christ. •Experience working with a multi-generational congregation. Primary Responsibilities - Preaching Fulfill all aspects of the preaching ministry, setting the theme, selecting and coordinating outside speakers. The “Growth and Preaching” minister is expected to devote adequate preparation time and research in providing Biblically sound sermons. These sermons should motivate, engage and connect everyone in a relevant way. Lessons that are prepared and presented for Monday, not only Sunday. - Evangelism. To work with the elders to ensure there is an adequate evangelistic passion from the congregation. - Small Groups To promote vibrant small group and discipleship mindset using the Orange - Rethink Group program “Live a Better Story”, which is currently being implemented. - Shepherding To work with the elders to provide an effective shepherding plan that will adequately care for the flock and encourage their spiritual growth. May be asked to lead a small group or teach a class. Days Off: The minister will be encouraged to take two days off per week. These may be set days; however, they may be altered due to schedule conflicts. Paid Time Off: Initially, three weeks per year with pay. Continuing Education: We encourage the “Growth and Preaching” minister to pursue continuous development via conferences or seminars. These should be budgeted and approved by the elders. Expenses will be covered as agreed upon. Supervision: The “Growth and Preaching” minister reports directly to the elders. Compensation Package: A competitive compensation and benefits package will be offered to the right person for this minister role.
