Shane Himes- Senior Minister Shane grew up in central Arkansas where he lived for the first 24 years of his life. While in Arkansas, he did his undergraduate work at Central Baptist College where he studied theology and leadership. In 2018, Shane completed a Master of Arts degree from Colorado Christian University where he studied systematic and historical theology. He is currently enrolled as a PhD student at Amridge University where he studies ancient Near Eastern cultures and languages, with an emphasis on ancient Israelite religion. Most recently, Shane worked as the Pulpit Minister for Hamilton Crossroads Church of Christ near Troy, Alabama. In September of 2019, he joined our staff here at North Central as the Senior Minister. He and Kaitlin have one daughter, Trinity, who has completely changed their lives for the better! In his free time, Shane enjoys watching sports and spending time with his family. Bobby Davis - Student and Family MInister Bobby was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated from Harding University in 1999 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. While at Harding, he met his amazing wife Sasha. After graduation, they moved to Bloomington (Sasha’s hometown) where Bobby taught first grade for seven years before being hired as the full time Children’s Minister in 2006. In 2009, Bobby became the full time Student and Family Minister. The Davis’ have three children, Kobe, Hallie and Annie. Bobby enjoys camp and any sports. Don Cross - Outreach Minister Don works primarily with the FriendSpeak Ministry. Don is married to Jody who works for the IU Art Museum, and has two children; Sara, who is married and living in Sweden, and Joseph. Born and raised in Indiana and graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Business Management, Don worked in the IU School of Journalism for 33 years as administrator and Director of Student Publications, retiring in 2004. Spiritual journey: grew up in Presbyterian church family as a child and turned away from God as a teen; while attending IU and searching for meaning in life received a Gideon Bible, began reading, visited several church families, connected with young married group at North Central, became a Christian in 1976 and began working with a dynamic college ministry.
