College Age Ministry
Hoosiers for Christ
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Hebrews 10:24-25

What we do:
Our Sunday college classes take place after the student/visitor lunch held downstairs most Sundays doing the school year. Every fourth Sunday is a “Bridge the Gap” Sunday, where we go out for lunch with members of the congregation (the class meets before the worship meeting on those weeks)
The college students meet together weekly during the school year for Bible study. The schedule is determined based on class schedules, and one of the students leads the study. This past year, we went through the book of Acts.
Many of us meet on Sunday evenings in a program called Discipleship Curriculum. This is an intensive study, requiring 4-5 hours of preparation and Bible study each week, focused on getting us to read and understand God’s Word and what it means for our lives.
The FriendSpeak ministry matches a member of the congregation with an international person to help them perfect their English. In this program, they study the book of Luke together in a workbook, with discussion questions to stimulate conversation. This not only provides a valuable service to the community, but also helps us reach people from other countries with the Gospel. One of the amazing things about Indiana University is that God is bringing the nations to us.
Some of us serve alongside other members of the congregation and community at the Community Kitchen here in Bloomington, which provides meals to the homeless.
