One thing we hear a lot is “How can we help?” or “Why haven’t you called us to help?”  Sometimes it is difficult to remember everyone who would like to help and, of course, our goal is to involve every parent in this ministry. Therefore, we are providing you with a list of ways in which you can help. Each year we will participate in 2 Ministry Fairs where you will have opportunity to sign up for specific things with which to help. You will find a list of those opportunities below.

Chaperone Events

We are always in need of chaperones for all events, including: Youth Hayride, New Year’s Eve Lock-In, Spring and Winter Retreats, Mission Efforts, YIA, and many, many more. Please help us in this by signing up for specific events during the Ministry Fairs or by contacting us at the church office.

Drive Church Vehicles

We are always in need of drivers for several of our youth events. No CDL is required to drive the church bus, you just need to be over the age of 21 and have a valid Indiana driver’s license.  In addition to the 15 persons on the bus, we often need extra vehicles for luggage and/or more teenagers. If you have a larger vehicle (i.e. van, SUV, etc.) that you would be willing to drive or let us borrow we would love to have you sign up for this aspect at the ministry fairs. 

Food Preparation for Youth Events

Many of our youth events require a great deal of food preparation. We need as much help as possible with this. We will provide signup lists with enough spaces for the number of cooks we will need for each event. For overnight events, accommodations will be provided for those preparing food.  Please help us with this important task.

Life Groups

Our Sunday evenings during the spring and fall are filled with wonderful small groups. As our groups grow, we find ourselves in need of individuals who will either provide a home for the meeting or be willing to supply the food and drinks for a meeting here at the building.  If you are interested in this and would like to sign up for the coming year, please indicate so on the sign ups at one of the ministry fairs. 

Youth Team

The Youth Team consists of parents and adults who have a desire to help our teens and are interested in our program. This group meets once a quarter to discuss activities and share concerns.

Teach Classes

Every quarter we need at least 8 teachers for the Sunday and Wednesday classes we offer. Therefore, WE NEED YOUR HELP. You will have opportunity to scan through the quarters and the offered classes at the ministry fair. Please sign up for a particular class and quarter and help us out with this.

SPECIAL NOTE!!!

Parents are always welcome to be a part of any Youth Ministry event. As a matter of fact, these events CANNOT happen without your help. Please make sure to involve yourself in at least one of these areas of need. Your signature is your commitment to us that we can count on you for this and we will not have to go looking at the last minute for help (we understand special cases). Thank you so much for your desire to serve and always let us know how we can better serve you, your teen(s), and this ministry. We are always looking to grow.
