Meet Our Ministry Staff
Shane Himes- Senior Minister
Shane grew up in central Arkansas where he lived for the first 24 years of his life. While in Arkansas, he did his undergraduate work at Central Baptist College where he studied theology and leadership. In 2018, Shane completed a Master of Arts degree from Colorado Christian University where he studied systematic and historical theology. He is currently enrolled as a PhD student at Amridge University where he studies theology and ministry, with an emphasis on the relationship between the Old and New Testaments. Most recently, Shane worked as the Pulpit Minister for Hamilton Crossroads Church of Christ near Troy, Alabama. In September of 2019, he joined our staff here at North Central as the Senior Minister. He and Kaitlin have two children, Trinity and Malachi, who have completely changed their lives for the better! In his free time, Shane enjoys watching sports and spending time with his family. Bobby Davis - Associate Minister
Bobby was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated from Harding University in 1999 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. While at Harding, he met his amazing wife Sasha. After graduation, they moved to Bloomington (Sasha’s hometown) where Bobby taught first grade for seven years before being hired as the full time Children’s Minister in 2006. In 2009, Bobby was named the full time Student and Family Minister. In 2019, Bobby was named NC Associate Minister. The Davis’ have three children, Kobe, Hallie and Annie. Joel Duke- Student and Family Minister
Joel is originally from the middle Tennessee area where he grew up going to the Crescent Church of Christ in Murfreesboro, TN. He attended Faulkner University in Montgomery, AL where he received his bachelors degree in Youth and Family Ministry. There he met his Alabama sweetheart, Marissa Mae. After graduation, Joel worked at the Pace Church of Christ outside of Pensacola, FL as the Youth and Family Minister. In December of 2020 Joel and Marissa moved to Bloomington to begin work as the Student and Family Minister for North Central. If you don’t know where Joel is then he is probably on the golf course. Lynda Griffith- Office Administrator
Janet Flynn- Office Administrator/Benevolence
Janet always called Bloomington, Indiana her home, except following her marriage to Tony when they lived in Illinois for two years. After their son, Rob was born in Bloomington, IL, they decided to return to Bloomington, IN, where she was a stay-at-home mom and operated a Day Care. In 1974, she accepted a position in the IU Office of the Bursar and remained there as Senior Assistant Bursar until her retirement in 2004. Following her retirement at IU she accepted the Office Coordinator position at North Central and continues to work part-time in the office and with the Benevolence Ministry. She enjoys spending time with family, cheering her grandchildren on in their sports and school activities, and cooking.
